Bapfan

Next week's home cooking, planned for you.

Why “Bapfan”? 밥 bap in Korean and 饭 fàn in Chinese both mean rice, and a meal. Bapfan is for anyone who's a fan of a home-cooked one.

Bapfan is an iPhone app that plans a household's week of Asian home cooking. It answers "what should we cook next week?" with recipes laid out across the meals you choose, one grocery list, and a Sunday prep plan that keeps every weekday meal within the time you have.

Our story

We're two busy professionals in New York, one Korean, one Chinese.

For years, dinner came in a plastic bag: five figures of takeout, too much salt, too much plastic, and food that never quite tasted like home.

So we grew up. We cook for ourselves now, spend with care, eat well, and keep cooking the dishes we grew up on.

밥 and 饭 both mean "a meal". Bapfan is how we keep ours, and pass it on.

Bapfan is in early testing with friends on TestFlight.
